AREAS OF ACTIVITY

Gebert Rüf Stiftung promotes innovation for the benefit of Switzerland’s economy and society, because innovative ideas - implemented in an entrepreneurial way - ensure an economically, ecologically and socially sustainable future. It makes science effective by initiating impact-oriented innovation projects. With an annual funding budget of up to CHF 15 million, it supports the breakthrough of new technologies, but also to lay the foundations for an entrepreneurial mindset and a broad interest in innovation by funding educational and transfer projects. Its funding strategy is currently based on seven areas of activity.

FUNDING

To select the projects, a funding strategy based on areas of activity is adopted. Originality, relevance and effectiveness of the projects are just as important as their assignment to a specific area of activity. The selection process generally consists of three stages and takes between three and six months from project submission to funding decision, or one month for selected program lines. Based on a contemporary understanding of a charitable foundation activity, Gebert Rüf Stiftung provides open and transparent information about its funding activities, in particular about the projects it supports and the impact of its activities.

MEDIA

Gebert Rüf Stiftung sees itself as an effective service provider to the public sector. With the news communicated via the social media channels, the web blog on focus topics and the press review, it provides direct insights into the foundation's activities as well as current developments in its field of activity.
