Project management

Project description

PTraditional power sockets, fixed and immovable, impose significant limitations in modern living and working environments. They dictate room layouts, restrict device placement, and often necessitate unsightly extension cords and power strips. This inflexibility fails to meet the dynamic needs of contemporary interiors, leading to practical and aesthetic challenges in both residential and commercial settings.
The founding team, consisting of three technically and economically skilled industrial engineers, developed a two-component system comprising a powertrack that distributes electricity room-wide and designated adapters, enabling users to draw power from any point on the track.
SurroundPower combines the function of the skirting board with the power distribution in the living area. Architects no longer have to plan sockets and electricians no longer have to laboriously install them in the building structure. SurroundPower simplifies the work of the people involved and at the same time offers the user a huge added value.

Status/Results

SurroundPower is currently still in development, with a planned market launch in 2025. The company has developed patented and design-protected technology, which has already passed initial prototype testing at TÜV SÜD, demonstrating its technical reliability. SurroundPower has successfully acquired a distribution partner, laying a solid foundation for its market entry.
SurroundPower is participating in the Innosuisse Core Coaching program and has completed the first stage of the Venturekick program, receiving valuable support and guidance. SurroundPower has also formalized its business structure by founding a GmbH.
At this stage, the company is actively seeking an investor to secure the necessary funding to finalize the product development and bring the innovation to market by 2025.
