Project description

E-Commerce shipping creates a lot of waste, including cardboard boxes, packing materials and plastic tape. Many packages are oversized, taking up unnecessary transport space and resources.
SendMeBag offers a reusable shipping bag that adjusts to the product size, reducing waste and improving logistics efficiency. The bag can be easily folded and is free to return, making it a simple and practical alternative to cardboard. By integrating a tracking-enabled depot system, SendMeBag ensures high return rates, improving efficiency and making reusable packaging scalable in logistics. To prevent transport damage and enable a wider range of products to be shipped with our reusable bags, we are developing a protective mechanism.

Status/Results

Our shipping bag has been validated by over 100 online shops and 7 fulfillment centres, alongside intensive testing with 8 pilot projects. Based on this feedback, we have optimized our product and now have two refined bag sizes in production. With this foundation, we are entering the market with a strong market understanding and a clear customer profile. Our unique tracking-enabled depot system is being developed in three stages, with the first stage integrated at market entry. As we continue development, we will maintain close collaboration with key stakeholders, such as Swiss Post. Additionally, we have secured a production partner for the shipping bags and are in ongoing discussions with an R&D partner for the protective mechanism. Now we have officially launched our startup, with us three young entrepreneurs (Joshua, Remo und Sandro) driving the project forward.
