Description du projet
Every year in Switzerland, 100’000 tons of new clothes are sold while 70’000 tons of clothes are collected to
be "recycled". Unfortunately, this fact hides a sad reality: more than half of these clothes end up incinerated
or in open-air dumps in Africa or Asia.
This wasted material offers natural acoustic properties. So we created innovative process to transform old textile fibers into acoustic panels. These designed panels are used in offices and open spaces to reduce noise and increase productivity at work.
Etat/résultats intermédiaires
At the start of the project, we aimed to develop Texup V2, a Class A acoustic panel made from recycled textiles, meeting fire and VOC standards. Interim goals achieved include finalizing the V2 product concept, developing a prototype, and initiating testing for compliance with safety standards. The V1 of our products has already generated CHF 120,000 in revenue, validating the market and establishing a solid foundation. The upcoming launch of V2 will strengthen our offering and help us secure a stronger position in the market. The project closes the gap in sustainable solutions for textile waste recycling and acoustic panel innovation.
We have launched Texup Sàrl to handle sales and client feedback and established key partnerships with industry, service providers, and the public sector. The project continues with a focus on V2 commercialization, client acquisition, and testing new business models for further scalability.
