Plastogaz develops plastic valorization technologies enabled by cutting edge catalysts. Our process has the potential to solve the plastic crisis by offering a novel, general chemical recycling technology. With our invention, unrecyclable mixtures of plastic waste can be transformed into clean burning fuel or new, virgin quality materials. Our technology mitigates plastic pollution and CO2 emissions simultaneously, and has the potential to close the loop of the circular economy.
Quelles sont les particularités de ce projet?
There are several plastic waste valorization technologies around the world, the overwhelming majority relying on a thermal treatment similar to that of crude oil refinery. With our technology, by contacting the plastic in prensence of hydrogen and a catalyst, we substantial improve the output product quality while consuming less energy.
Etat/résultats intermédiaires
The team is currently designing a continuous pilot reactor. The InnoBooster programme allowed us to obtain important data instrumental to the scale up of our process and conduct pilot studies with the industry.
