Projektbeschreibung
The emerging future of learning and education is shaped by NextGen teachers who are open to exploration, experimentation and co-creation of innovative pedagogies in a student-centered and research-informed manner.
The project empowers NextGen primary and secondary schools teachers in Switzerland to discover, explore and co-create transformational innovation methodologies and practices in a specific context, namely:
- for the everyday life in the classroom
- aligned with the curriculum
- and at the intersection of innovative pedagogies, futures literacy, futures thinking and foresight.
Stand/Resultate
The project started in March 2022 with methodology development, testing and iterations and continued to mid 2023 with participatory workshops involving 120 representative NextGen teachers. An in-classroom pilot project implementing the research-informed methodology integrated in the context of Lehrplan 21 was successfully conducted with 6 NextGen Swiss primary school teachers and their 4th grade students from May 2023 until December 2023. Following a participatory, student and teacher-centered approach, the pilot followed a dynamic plan with bi-weekly, easy to implement personalized learning activities anchored in the school's specific context. The students were able to develop their critical thinking and gain agency in front of the unknown, while developing different dimensions of future consciousness.
